Monthly Pride Niagara’s Social Night

Pride Niagara hosts its monthly 2SLGBTQ+ social in the heart of downtown St. Catharines. With special guest hosts and 2SLGBTQ+ local artists. The interactions or conversations elicited by events helps 2SLGBTQ+ community build relationships, understand different perspectives, and engage within our diverse community. These events provide an opportunity to expand one’s social circle.

Pride Niagara hosts an all-ages classic Drag Brunch event held monthly in various cities in Niagara. With two separate seating times from 11am-2pm. Enjoy delicious brunch favourites and fabulous performances from local drag personalities. These events allow for a more intimate and engaging experience with your audience which leaves a lasting and memorable impression.

“Drag It to Dinner”

Pride Niagara hosts a 19+ Dinner & Drag show experience! Hosted bimonthly in various restaurant throughout Niagara, Drag it to Dinner highlights some of Niagara’s best dinner menus with fabulous performances from local drag personalities. These events allow for a more intimate and engaging, adult experience with your audience which leaves a lasting and memorable impression.

Queens and Cocktails

Pride Niagara hosts a 19+ Tapas style cocktail hour, Queens and Cocktails! Hosted bimonthly in various restaurant throughout Niagara. With delicious and creative tapas menus served long side your favourite classic cocktails. With fabulous performances from local drag personalities. These events allow for a more intimate and engaging, adult experience with your audience which leaves a lasting and memorable impression.

Dining OUT with Pride

Teaming up with local 2SLGBTQ+ supportive downtown restaurants, Pride Niagara promotes a bimonthly dining OUT event. On this day, every lunch/dinner guest that notifies their server they are a Pride Niagara supporter, that business donates 15% of that supporters purchase back to Pride Niagara.

Drag Story Time

A family event for all ages. Sit down with local drag personalities for some 2SLGBTQ+ positive stories. Teaching deeper lessons on diversity, self-love and an appreciation of others followed by an open Q&A.  Embracing the imagination and play of gender fluidity of childhood, giving children glamorous, positive, and queer role models without shame.

Our community is fantastic as it is diverse, filled with dedicated individuals who celebrate and support our 2SLGBTQ+ Niagara. Pride Niagara wants to introduce you to some of those team players who are supporting, educating, connecting, and celebrating all our community.

“Spilling the Tea” is a series of interview with Pride Niagara host introducing you to some of the amazing essential team players in our amazing 2SLGBTQ+ Niagara.

Niagara Pride Kick Off Party & Pride Niagara Ambassador Competition

Start Niagara’s Pride on the right foot, leading up to the main event festival. An evening celebrating the 2SLGBTQ+ communities under the rainbow and beyond. With special guest musical artists, contests, and local artists. A night filled with music, dancing and celebrating PRIDE!

Think you have some talent, something to show off? Feel like busting out and showing everyone your PRIDE! You can be The Official Pride Niagara Ambassadors! Contestants can be ANYONE who is Proud and not afraid to show it! With special guest performers from across Ontario and of course your host The Empress Claudia Silva.

Rainbow Flag Raising Ceremony

Pride Niagara reaches out across all municipalities in Niagara to join us for our Annual Pride Flag raising. This is a fantastic opportunity for each municipality to raise the flag, listen and share with guest speakers and show their support, unity, and PRIDE with Niagara 2SLGBTQ+ community and their allies!

Niagara UNITY Awards

Niagara UNITY Awards highlights the important successes of individuals and groups that have made an impact for the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer/Questioning Plus (2SLGBTQ+) community here in the Niagara Region. Acknowledging our strengths as a community is key to our health and safety. These ceremonies show value, approval and gratitude for each person’s achievements and struggles. Celebrating those successes outside our direct community and integrating into society without bias, without judgment but praise and acceptance.

Pride Niagara’s Annual Pride Prom!

Prom is a time for celebration, but for some 2SLGBTQ+ youth it can be difficult to celebrate. Everyone needs a dance and celebrate themselves, and Pride Niagara’s Pride Prom allows 2SLGBTQ+ youth a chance to celebrate with Pride! 

Join Hosts Pride Niagara Ambassador for a night filled with dancing, performers, electing our nonbinary prom royalty, professional prom style photos and prizes!

This is an all-ages free event.

Pride in The Park Festival #PITP

Pride events are about human rights; they empower 2SLGBTQ+ individuals to reclaim the rights and freedoms they are denied, and the public space they are often excluded from, and visibility is crucial.

PITP is an outdoor PRIDE festival with 2SLGBTQ+ /2SLGBTQ+ friendly entertainment. Live musical acts, Family friendly/ children’s activities, food and merchandise vendors, a fully licensed area, all ages DJ dance floor and more. Taking place at Montebello Park in St. Catharines.

Pride Service with Silver Spire
United Church

Silver Spire United Church is Niagara’s first United Church to go through the affirmation process of welcoming members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community.

A recognized designation that stands for inclusivity & celebrates diversity. Proud to celebrate Niagara’s 2SLGBTQ+ community as an affirming congregation. Including local drag personalities for some 2SLGBTQ+ positive stories. Teaching deeper lessons on diversity, self-love and an appreciation of others followed by an open Q&A.

PRIDE NIAGARA HIEEE TEA

Hieeee Tea, a high tea with a splash of camp! Enjoy a day with music, photos, insightful conversation, and delicious high tea treats! We encourage all guests to add their flare, fabulous style, and sense of Pride to their attire.

What is a tea party without sparkling conversation?

At each table we will be asked to compose a list of positive questions to openly discuss with our head table. With topics ranging from gender expression, activism, political responsibility to personal style and artistry.

Our head table will consist of local 2SLGBTQ+ community members, activists, allies, personalities, and political figures. Our Tea master (the fabulous Deb Pearce) will be acting as moderator to our open, lighthearted spilling of the tea!

This is an all-ages free event.
